From the February 2001 issue of Animation Magazine "Lost Boys Studios Unleashes Anarchy on the World"Digital animation and effects production company Lost Boys Studios has completed the cinematic opening for the MMORPG (Massively Online Role-Playing Game) Anarchy.At the behest of Funcom, the European video gaming giant, Lost Boys Studios (based in Vancouver British Columbia) created a completely computer-animated opening movie for the flagship video game property. The science-fiction tale sets up Anarchy's background story of the terraforming and colonization of a barren desert planet, the construction of high-tech cities and the eventual uprising of oppressed workers against the mega-corporation Omni-Tek and its armored security forces. Starting with the basic artwork and designs used in the actual game, Lost Boys artists and animators set to work modeling and texturing the numerous digital sets, props, vehicles and characters required to tell Anarchy's epic tale.  |
